Have I ever mentioned how much I love airports. The tearful goodbyes and warm embraces get me every time. Being at the airport is like watching a movie and I’m infatuated.
I currently finished my first leg from Seoul to San Francisco and have a couple of hours until I fly out to my final destination. Georgia stayed over last night and helped me get all my affairs in order this morning. I had to choke back the tears as we said our final good byes, but we knew this day was coming (just not as abruptly as it had).
Neighbor boy may be the sweetest and most caring friend. The thought of me dragging all my luggage to the airport alone was unimaginable to him. He took the 45 minute cab ride with me and even helped check me in for my flight. We hung around and had some delicious Sangria ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
My spirits were lifted when I left and I knew I was making the right decision. Oh and a side note I was asking for directions at the San Fran airport and the airport worker told me they didn’t let girls as gorgeous as myself through gate 1 so he should escort me. I couldn’t hold back my laughter as I had just got off a 10 hour flight.
I’ve already skyped my sister and she has me booked. She’s picking me up at the airport at 2am and we’re leaving bright and early for a 3-5 day camping trip. I’m going to be exhausted, to say the least. But I know I will burst into tears the second I see her. I love my family and I miss my sister. She is truly my best friend.
